Industrial property developer Panattoni Netherlands has commenced work on its latest scheme, the Almere distribution centre.
Located in the Stichtsekant Business Park, the Almere distribution centre will be situated some 30 km from Amsterdam and Utrecht.
The new 23,423 m2 development consists of a 19,666 m2 hall, 2,161 m2 of office space plus a 1,596 m2 mezzanine level. In addition, 22 loading docks and five overhead doors will be realised with 251 parking spaces available on site.
Jeroen Gerritsen, general manager of Panattoni Netherlands, commented: 'We are happy that we can realise this new distribution centre at this strategic and central location. This is our fifth project in the Netherlands, 12 months after Panattoni entered the Dutch market.'
The distribution centre is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2022 and is currently available for lease. The scheme will be built to Breeam Very Good standard.
Added Gerritsen: 'The distribution centre is ideal for companies that would like a representative modern facility in the heart of the Netherlands.
'To respond to the new online demand, we can easily divide the building into smaller units of approximately 4,500 m2 for fine-mesh distribution. This allows us to offer flexible space from approximately 23,000 m2 to 4,500 m2 and everything in between.'
