Panattoni Nederland, part of Panattoni Europe, has announced plans to kick off the development of two modern logistics distribution centres in the city of Roermond, in the south of the Netherlands.
The new development – the first in the Netherlands since opening office in the country in late 2019 – consists of two facilities of 25,175 m2 and 18,080 m2 respectively, providing a total of 43,225 m2. Panattoni has bought the site from the Ontwikkelingsmaatschappij Midden Limburg (OML) for an undisclosed amount.
The complex is expected to be completed in September 2021.
Jeroen Gerritsen, general manager of Panattoni Netherlands said: ‘This is a fantastic start for our development activities, six months after Panattoni came to the Netherlands. We see a lot of future in central and south Limburg, because we notice that there is a better availability of personnel which will enable us to properly staff the distribution centres.’
