Panattoni has begun developing the largest speculative logistics building serving London and the south east.
The mammoth 752,823 sq ft (69,700 m2) facility, which has planning consent for an additional 400,000 sq ft of mezzanine space, enabling an occupier to have 1.1 million sq ft of space, is located at Panattoni Park Aylesford. Panattoni is scheduled to start construction of the facility later this month and is expected to complete it in the fourth quarter of 2023.
The cross-docked facility will have a high standard specification, targeting a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’ and an EPC rating of ‘A’ to prioritise energy efficiency and reduce operating costs.
This facility will be the last available space at the park, following the early pre-lets to DHL, Fowler Welch, Evri and Marley.
Tony Watkins, Head of Development, London and South East, at Panattoni, said: ‘Speculatively developing the largest logistics building in the south east reflects our continuing commitment to providing much-needed immediate space for large-scale occupiers and our confidence in the market.’
Agents at Panattoni Park Aylesford are CBRE, Avison Young and JLL.
