In his new role, Verweij will coordinate contacts across the public sector, contractors, architects, engineering and other technical consultancy companies connected to Panattoni's work.

His focus area during the project development process will be monitoring the technical feasibility study of acquisitions, the integration of projects into zoning plans, and the realisation of the design, engineering, planning, budget and supervision of the construction process.

Jeroen Gerritsen, managing director of Panattoni Netherlands said: 'By strengthening our team in the Netherlands, we have found a colleague in Eelco who fits in with the DNA of our company.

'With Eelco in our team, Panattoni Netherlands will develop and deliver our current projects, and thus fulfill our ambitions to reach growth on the Dutch market.'

Verweij has a track record of 20 years in project- and construction management for medium to large logistics projects, and is also an expert in the redevelopment of logistics- and industrial sites.

'The market leadership and expertise of Panattoni are of course clear to everyone, but it was also the market approach and mentality within the current team that appealed to me in our contacts. A no-nonsense approach with a drive to getting things done perfectly on all fronts. I can't wait to deliver our first project,' Verweij said.
