Warsaw-based Panattoni Europe said that it has been appointed by Polish appliance producer Zelmer to develop a new built-to-suit facility in the Glogow Malopolski municipality, in the southeast of the country.

The facility will offer 28,500 m2 of production and warehouse space, with a further 4,000 m2 of office space.

'This is the largest project of Panattoni Europe in the Podkarpackie region, a Special Economic Zone,' said Marek Forynski, Group Director at Panattoni Europe. 'This is the best evidence of the growing interest in constructing industrial facilities within the SEZ, which directly results from amended legislation, thanks to which Zelmer will benefit from expanding qualified costs, and will be entitled to 50% tax allowance. This is probably the direction in which the industrial real estate market will develop.'

Panattoni Europe is part of the Panattoni Development Company, one of the largest industrial developers in the world, with 40 offices in North America and Europe. Panattoni Europe has been present in Poland since 2005 and during that time it has developed 36 projects with a total value of EUR 648 mln. To date, the developer has delivered around 1.2 million m2 of modern industrial space altogether in Poland and the Czech Republic.
