PointPark Properties (P3) has started construction of a new 15,200 m2 Build-To-Suit logistics hub and central distribution centre at its Prague D1 park for Mountfield, a Czech distributor of garden equipment and supplies.
The project, which is scheduled for completion in April 2014, marks the last development phase of PointPark Prague D1 and will lift the estate‘s total lettable space to 176,000 m2.
Mountfield will consolidate all its local warehouse capacity into the new facility at PointPark Prague D1. It will occupy three quarters of the new 20,000 m2 facility under construction, while P3 will build the remaining 4,800 m2 speculatively in anticipation of future leasing opportunities.
The Mountfield project is the second BTS project that P3 has undertaken this year at PointPark Prague D1. It follows the completion of a 20,000 m2 fully customized distribution centre for Yusen Logistics, which was handed over to the global freight forwarding and logistics company in June.
P3 has consent for a further 590,000 m2 of warehouse projects across Europe.
