PointPark Properties (P3) plans to invest around EUR 100 mln in the expansion of its PointPark Bratislava logistics park in the Slovak capital. The European logistics asset manager and developer has acquired a further 41 ha of land next to the park in a bid to extend the facility by nearly 110,000 m[sup]2[/sup].
PointPark Properties (P3) plans to invest around EUR 100 mln in the expansion of its PointPark Bratislava logistics park in the Slovak capital. The European logistics asset manager and developer has acquired a further 41 ha of land next to the park in a bid to extend the facility by nearly 110,000 m2.
P3's head of Slovakia, Peter Becar, said the move 'confirms both the success of PointPark Bratislava achieved so far as well as the market demand for cross-border supply chain and logistics projects in the Lozorno area.'
Located in Western Slovakia, PointPark Bratislava currently offers 82,000 m2 of warehouse space in three distribution facilities leased to a number of tenants including Whirlpool, Möbelix , Brightpoint and the automotive supplier Hbpo. The company started construction of the first phase in april 2006, with the second construction phase planned to comprise six buildings for a total of nearly 110,000 m2.
The project is due for completion in 2014.
