P3 Logistic Parks, the European logistics specialist owned by TPG and Ivanhoe Cambridge, has appointed Jean-Luc Saporito as the new managing director of the Italian platform following its expansion in the market with the acquisition of five warehouses last July.
The French national joins P3 from Amazon, where he worked for two-and-half years overseeing the development of 190,000 m2 of new facilities in France and Italy as well as handling the asset management of 370,000 m2 of properties across Southern Europe.
Prior to this, Saporito worked in Italy for Prologis as a senior development and property manager. He will be in charge of P3’s Italian platform, which comprises almost 230,000 m2 of logistics warehousing mainly concentrated in the Milan area, Italy's core industrial region.
In 2014 P3 almost doubled the size of its portfolio with major acquisitions in the Czech Republic (627,000 m2 of assets and 240,000 m2 of land) and in Italy (202,290 m2 of assets).
