Oxford Properties, the real estate arm of Canadian pension fund OMERS, has hired David Matheson from Goldman Sachs.

Oxford Properties, the real estate arm of Canadian pension fund OMERS, has hired David Matheson from Goldman Sachs.

Matheson, an executive director in Goldman Sachs' real estate investment banking team, has been appointed as senior vice president and managing director of investment at Oxford Properties.

As head of investment Matheson will be responsible for overseeing and driving Oxford Properties’ growth across the UK and Europe, with particular focus on expanding the business’ reach into new asset classes and new markets including France and Germany.

Oxford Properties’ existing portfolio totals over £1.5 bn (€1.7 bn) and is concentrated in the London office sector. Assets include The Leadenhall Building, Green Park and Watermark Place. The business has a mandate to invest a further £5 bn outside of North America in the next five years.
