CoreNet Global - the association for corporate real estate - has named Rotterdam-based developer OVG Real Estate as the winner of the annual Sustainable Leadership Award. The award was presented during the opening session of the CoreNet Global Summit at the San Diego Convention Center earlier this week.

The TNT Center in the Netherlands, developed by a consortium formed of OVG Real Estate and Triodos Bank, was awarded 'The Sustainable Leadership Award for Design and Development'. The jury praised the TNT Center as an outstanding project and a great start to future endeavours in this area. The project received top marks for the collaboration approach, being energy-productive on-site in a sustainable matter and sharing surplus heat with neighbours in the area.

'Globally, the corporate real estate community continues to innovate at an accelerating pace to meet enterprise-wide demands for greater profitability, accountability, social responsibility and sustainability,' said CoreNet Global CEO Angela Cain. 'We want to recognise industry leaders for the steps they are taking in breaking new ground and advancing corporate real estate thought leadership.'
