Orchard Street Investment Management has announced that former L&G fund manager Mark Russell is joining the firm as a partner, starting in October.
He will report directly to managing partner Philip Gadsden and will also become a member of the firm’s investment committee.
Russell's two decades of experience in the real estate sector include 10 years managing L&G’s flagship £3.2 bn Managed Property Fund.
At L&G, Russell led the Managed Property Fund through a sustained period of fund expansion and oversaw more than £2.5 bn of transactions in the UK market. Prior to his time at L&G, he was a portfolio manager at Prestbury. Russell started his career in the real estate industry at Jones Lang Wootton in 1996.
