The Cosmopolis Plaza has increased five times its original size and now has 20,000 m2, offering customers 500 parking spaces and 40 new stores of brands such as Jysk, Animax, Pepco, Sinsay, Tedi, Kik, Carrefour, and C&A.

Other shopping and relaxation facilities will be opened in the coming weeks including the largest wellness club in Romania operated by Sweat.

Ozan Tuncer, CEO of Cosmopolis, commented: ‘The number of residents in Cosmopolis and in the northern part of the capital has increased considerably during this period, and this was the main argument that led us to make the decision to increase the offer of shops in the area. We want to offer both the residents of Cosmopolis and the whole area access to quality services, the facilities they need and a place that is accessible for their shopping and entertainment desires’

The new retail park offers direct access from the Bucharest Ring Road, an entrance from Tunari, and soon a direct connection from the A3 highway.

The extension comes eight years after the opening of the first strip mall inside the Comospolis residential complex, in which Opus Land Development has so far invested €430 mln.
