The fast fashion firm recently picked up womens' labels including Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and Burton after retailer group Arcadia collapsed into administration last year.

It also bought the Debenhams brand and website for £55 mln in January.

While Boohoo has its head offices in Manchester, it also has production sites in cities such as Leicester, which were rocked with allegations last year of poor working conditions and forced labour.

However, the company is on a significant growth trajectory as one of the UK's most powerful online fashion retailers. Since picking up the Karen Millen and Coast brands two years ago, it has built its empire to what analysts predict could amount to £4 bn in annual turnover.

Boohoo also inked a deal for a 1.2 million ft2 warehouse in Daventry this month, which was originally built in 2019 to house Arcadia stock, to handle increased orders and the new brands.

Boohoo said that the office in London would house around 600 members of staff on a flexible basis, as the home for all 'London-based product, marketing, technology and central support teams'.
