The Nordics are characterised by low public and government debt levels. 'if you look at European comparison the Nordic states are the only countries fulfilling the Maastricht criteria,' Marcelo Cajias, research manager at Patrizia Immobilien said in the opening presentation at Expo Real.
In contrast to other European regions facing the greying of their populations the Nordics is experiencing a demographic boom. 'We see an increase in the population of about 2 million inhabitants and we see amazing growth rates of more than 10% in some areas. This is very important for investors developing a strategy for the region,' Cajias said.
