Pan-European private equity real estate investment manager Tristan Capital Partners has appointed Nik Haigh as a director of client relations. He will be specifically responsible for expanding the firm's relationships with investors in the US and Canadian markets.

Haigh was a member of the asset management team of Tristan's predecessor, Curzon Global Partners, from 2004 to 2009.

Over the past three years Haigh led the European division for a major international not-for-profit organisation, spearheading institutional and individual fundraising where he developed effective relationships with corporate, government, foundation, and high-net-worth individuals.

At Tristan, Haigh will focus on building relationships in Canada and the US. He reports to Monica O'Neill, Tristan Head of Client relations and marketing.

Haigh's appointment follows that of Adam Smith who joined Tristan after eight years with Townsend Group, a global real estate advisor and investment manager. In 2009, Smith was instrumental in Townsend's expansion into Europe, helping to establishing the London office.

Tristan Capital Partners is the portfolio manager for AEW's EPI and EPISO opportunistic funds as well as the recently closed Curzon Capital Partners III fund which have a number of European, Middle Eastern and US investors.
