Niam, a private equity firm in Northern Europe specialising in property, has appointed Maria Hagerdal as senior director, portfolio management to replace Urban Ehrling. Prior to joining Niam, Hagerdal was the head of asset management at Landic Property.
Niam, a private equity firm in Northern Europe specialising in property, has appointed Maria Hagerdal as senior director, portfolio management to replace Urban Ehrling. Prior to joining Niam, Hagerdal was the head of asset management at Landic Property.
At Niam, Hagerdal will be responsible for managing property portfolios in Sweden, with a market value of approximately EUR 1.1 bn. Urban will take a new position at Niam as senior director, project development and will remain in Niam's management team.
The changes will come into effect on 27 April 2009.
Since inception in 1998, Niam, through its funds or on behalf of its financial partners, has invested a total of approximately EUR 4.8 bn and disposed of properties totalling EUR 3.3 bn. In January 2008, Niam Nordic Fund IV closed with approximately EUR 700 mln in equity, amounting to EUR 2.5 to EUR 3 bn in investment capacity. Today, Niam manages properties valued at approximately EUR 1.7 bn through its two funds, Niam Nordic Investment Fund III and Niam Nordic Fund IV.
