Swedish private equity firm Niam has acquired a residential portfolio in Denmark.
Financial details were not disclosed.
The portfolio comprises 300 units totalling 30,600 m2, in the city of Randers and town of Silkeborg, both located in central Jutland.
The properties are modern, primarily terrace- and semi-detached houses. Some of the units in the portfolio are still under construction and will be completed during the first half of 2020.
Michael Berthelsen, country manager Denmark for Niam, said: ‘With this acquisition, our portfolio of affordable housing is growing. There is a very positive development of several regional cities in the province and we find it interesting to expand our residential portfolio here.’
Nordic investor Niam has €3.2 bn AUM in northern Europe. It is headquartered in Stockholm with offices in Oslo, Helsinki and Copenhagen.
