Nordic private equity player Niam has announced the purchase of six office properties in Helsinki, Finland from Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Company in two independent transactions worth over €160 mln.

Nordic private equity player Niam has announced the purchase of six office properties in Helsinki, Finland from Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Company in two independent transactions worth over €160 mln.

The portfolio comprises 77,000 m2 of space built between 2002 and 2007. All six properties are located within the Helsinki Metropolitan Area with three properties in Espoo, two in Vantaa and one in Helsinki.

German bank Helaba provided financing for the deal.

'We are confident that the Helsinki office market is a very attractive investment market that will continue to improve. Niam's active asset management approach will add further value to the portfolio assets,' said Johan Bergman, Niam's CEO.
