Karol Wyka has been appointed executive board director, head of office department of Newmark in Poland as of 2 September.

Vaunting some 14 years of commercial real estate experience, Wyka will be responsible for the leadership of the office team and the development of the firm’s growth strategy in the office sector.

Wyka joined Newmark from HB Reavis Poland, where he was country leasing director and management board member. His key responsibilities included coordination of the work of several teams including leasing, PR and marketing, property management, space planning, workplace advisory and office fit-out.

He was also responsible for the commercialisation of the property portfolio of HB Reavis Poland comprising Varso Place (with the EU’s tallest office building Varso Tower), the Forest office complex, West Station, Gdanski Business Center, Konstruktorska Business Center, and Postepu 14.

During his professional career, he has acted on lease transactions for a total of 477,000 sqm for many leading companies. Wyka is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics and the University of Otago, New Zealand.
