Two new tenants have signed up for Zagreb Business Park, Croatia's first international logistics park. As exclusive leasing agent King Sturge has signed up Kuhne & Nagel for 19,000 m2 as well as leading fashion retailer Sportina Group, who leased 4,320 m2 of warehouse and 1,540 m2 of office space. Both companies will begin operations in the business park in May 2008.
Upon completion Zagreb Business Park will have a total of 98,000 m2 of logistics space. Only 6 kilometres from the Slovenian border and 5 kilometres from the Zagreb ring road its location is well suited for international logistics. The higher standards of development achieved are particularly important for the handling of temperature controlled goods. In 2010 there will be a dedicated rail freight connection and a road-rail interchange will be built as well.
The remaining 30,000 m2 of available space is attracting strong interest and further letting announcements are expected shortly. The construction of Phase 2 of the park is expected to begin later this year and will add a further 45,000 m2.
