Four real estate professionals have joined forces to launch a new investment and asset management company to take advantage of strong investor interest in the Nordics.
Teemu Saxén, Juha Mattila and Jussi Thusberg and Lorenz Merk have teamed up to launch Avant Capital Partners, an investment manager focused on value-add opportunities in the Finnish real estate market.
In addition, Avant also plans to arrange debt and mezzanine financing for real estate investments through its co-operation partners.

the continued strong demand towards the services we’re offering,' commented Jussi Thusberg, a former director at Catella Asset Management.
Before Catella, Thusberg was one of the early partners of private equity firm NREP where he established the Helsinki office and was involved in several transactions and fund launches across the Nordics.
Teemu Saxén and Juha Mattila join from their own company, Mattila & Saxen Property Partners. Lorenz Merk was previously responsible for management and loan origination for the Nordic region for Hamburg based DGHyp bank, building up a performing Nordic loan book exceeding €300 mln within 2 years.
