The Netherlands and Luxembourg will both have large pavilions at the Expo Real international trade fair taking place in Munich in October.

Fair organiser Messe Munchen announced that the Netherlands will be represented at two pavilions: the Holland Property Plaza pavilion and the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. Together with individual exhibitors such as Corio, Dormio, Multi Development, Rabo Real Estate Group, Redevco and Prologis, the Netherlands has one of the strongest turn-outs among national groups at the fair.

The Amsterdam Metropolitan Area pavilion will be represented by six municipal authorities from the region of Amsterdam and seven private firms. Amsterdam will be showing how it intends to reduce vacancies by encouraging the transformation and re-use of empty office property and limiting new building.

The Holland Property Plaza pavilion is being organised for the fifth time. Featuring 16 participants this year, the motto for the presentation is 'The Dutch Dream'. The participants will host a programme of short presentations and discussions focusing on design, engineering, transformation and re-development.

Nine companies and sponsors have signed up so far to the Luxembourg pavilion. They are Agora, ArcelorMittal, Hauck und Aufhäuser, Hochtief Luxembourg, Luxembourg for Finance, Property Partners, Reviva Capital, Somaco and Valeres Konstruktion.

Agora will be presenting its conversion project, Belval, at the fair. On an area of 120 hectares, it is building over 1.4 million m2 of gross space - residential, office, leisure and research. Over 33% of this total has been completed over the last eight years or is currently under construction.

Valeres, which builds industrial and commercial facilities in Luxembourg, The Netherlands and Germany, will display its new 6,000 m2 retail and office building in the heart of Strassen Business Center. Somaco is presenting one of its active development projects - the Findel Golf Office Park.
