Spanish outlet centres specialist Neinver has reported 10% growth in sales year-on-year at the outlet centres it manages in six European countries.
The portfolio of outlet centres, most of which operate under the brand name The Style Outlets or Factory, registered total sales of €1.183 bn, and increased footfall of 8%, exceeding 50.2 million visitors a year.
'The solid results seen in all countries vouch for the success of our management model, which relies on specialised asset management skills, clear and well-executed retail strategies and accurate market knowledge. Neinver will keep working towards continued growth alongside the brands that operate in our centres, strengthening our position as a leading manager of outlet centres in Europe,' commented Carlos González, managing director of Neinver.
The global occupancy rate of the portfolio reached 96% by year-end, which Neinver said reflected the good management of the centres.
2016 was also marked by the group entering its eighth market, the Czech Republic, through the joint venture with The Prague Outlet to launch Prague The Style Outlets, scheduled to open in late 2017.
The company announced the start of the preparations works for the construction of Amsterdam The Style Outlets, Neinver’s first outlet centre in the Netherlands, and said it had signed several new agreements to manage centres across Europe.
