Spanish privately-held retail specialist Neinver announced on Monday that it has started the construction of Viladecans The Style Outlets, a new retail outlet in Greater Barcelona.
The scheme - Neinver's first in Catalonia and its sixth in Spain - is expected to require an investment of around €80 mln.
Located 10 minutes from Barcelona’s city centre and from the Seaport and El Prat International Airport, the retail destination is expected to have a catchment area of 7 million consumers. It will be built in two phases: Phase I will offer 19,800 m2 of retail space over 100 stores, while Phase II will include a further 6,700 m2 and an additional 30 units.
The complex is planned to open in autumn 2016.
