Spanish retail specialist Neinver saw sales at its shopping centres across Europe grow by 10% in 2014 as visitor numbers increased by 6%.

Neinver's 15 outlet centres spread over six countries recorded total sales of €952 mln, while sales at all 20 retail properties also rose by 10% year-on-year to €1.14 bn. Just over 58 million visitors passed through the doors during 2014.

The strongest growth was in France, where Roppenheim The Style Outlets attracted 1.4 million visitors, 19% more than in 2013, and lifted sales by 16%.

Sales also grew strongly across Neinver's five centres in Poland, with a total increase of 14% as visitor numbers rose by 5%, and Portugal, which recorded a 16% increase in sales.

In Germany, Zweibrücken The Style Outlets saw an 11% rise in both sales and numbers of shoppers, with more than 3.8 million visits in 2014.

More modest growth of 5% was achieved at the five The Style Outlets centres in Spain, and in Italy, where sales were up by 8% at Neinver's two outlet centres.

Managing director Daniel Losantos said: 'Our operating indicators have steadily increased over the last 10 years. This reinforces our management model as a key element to increasing the properties’ value in the long term.'

Neinver manages 22 retail property assets across seven European countries, including two as joint ventures with private equity firm KKR, covering a total gross leasable area of 565,100 m2.
