NCC Property Development has sold a logistics project at the Port of Gothenburg for SEK 188 mln (EUR 20.5 mln). The purchaser, Hemfosa, will take possession when the project has been completed, which is expected to be in the first quarter of 2012.

The project consists of a total 20,000 m2 of floor space, of which offices account for 725 m2 and stores and a terminal for the remainder. The property is currently leased to RPG Logistics. Construction is expected to commence in January 2011 and the project is scheduled for completion by spring 2012.

The project has been developed in partnership with Göteborgs Hamn. NCC owns another 200,000 m2 of developable land in the area, which will be developed into attractive warehouse premises over the next few years.

The property will be certified under the BREEAM accreditation system and achieve the 'very good' rating. It will also be GreenBuilding-certified, which means that the energy consumption will be 25% less that the norm recommended by the National Swedish Board of Housing, Building and Planning.
