MyZeil shopping centre, which features more than 80 retail units on 77,000 m[sup]2[/sup] of space, has opened in Frankfurt, Germany. The mall is an integral part of Palais Quartier, the major mixed-use project being developed by Dutch companies MAB Development and Meyer Bergman.

MyZeil shopping centre, which features more than 80 retail units on 77,000 m2 of space, has opened in Frankfurt, Germany. The mall is an integral part of Palais Quartier, the major mixed-use project being developed by Dutch companies MAB Development and Meyer Bergman.

The main tenants of MyZeil include Anson's, s.Oliver, REWE, and Saturnus. The mall also features the fitness club Fitness First, a Vizz indoor children’s' area and health care centre Lifedome. MAB said in a statement that MyZeil adds a new dimension to Zeil, Frankfurt's main shopping street and one of the busiest shopping streets in Germany.

MAB said that the multifunctional Palais Quartier project 'unites old and new, and offers an urban environment with a total surface area of 226,650 m2'. The complex consists of the restored historical edifice Thurn und Taxis Palais, a hotel tower, an office tower and MyZeil shopping centre.

The Palais Quartier hotel and office towers were designed by the architects Engel and Zimmermann. The shopping and leisure world of the shopping center was designed by the Italian architect Massimiliano Fuksas. The office tower, hotel tower and the renovation of the Thurn & Taxis Palais are all scheduled to open during the course of 2009.
