The mall - a dominant shopping destination favourably located in the city centre – was put on the market by landlord CBRE Global Investors in February of this year through specialist retail agent RPE.

It is expected to trade for some €90 mln.

Developed by Multi, the 17,500-m2 open air scheme opened in 1998 and is well established in its catching area.

Mundicenter, part of local private equity group Alves Ribeiro, owns and manages a total of eight shopping centres in Portugal.

Also in the retail sector, local lender Caixa Geral de Depósitos is believed to be selling the 70,000-m2 Nova Arcada in the northern city of Braga through agent C&W for a price of nearly €50 mln.

An unknown international investor is understood to be the frontrunner in the deal which is expected to close in December. The scheme opened in 2016 and is anchored by a 22,000 m2 Ikea superstore.
