Multi Development has been named Developer of the Year at the All Ireland Retail Property Awards in Dublin for the company's EUR 500 mln Victoria Square development in Belfast. The 75,000 m2 scheme was picked as the winner by readers of Shopping Centre Ireland magazine through an online public vote and the award was presented at the All Ireland Retail Property Awards in Dublin.

Multi was in competition with many other high profile schemes all over Ireland, including the Beacon South Quarter in Sandyford, Athlone Town Centre and Charlestown. Multi's managing director, Paul Sargent, who collected the award said; 'With world-class architecture and a mix of new and exciting retailers, Victoria Square has put Belfast on the map as a true European shopping destination. The scheme is far more than the simple sum of its component parts, it is the new social and cultural meeting point of a once divided city. With the success of Victoria Square, we are confident we can accomplish the same effect with our other two schemes in Bath and Wolverhampton.'
