Gouda-based developer Multi Vastgoed currently has a total of eight new retail projects under construction in the Netherlands, the company announced Thursday in a press release.

Gouda-based developer Multi Vastgoed currently has a total of eight new retail projects under construction in the Netherlands, the company announced Thursday in a press release.

The biggest project is the ‘Stadskwartier’ in Nieuwegein where Cityplaza, the shopping heart of the town centre, is being doubled in size to 56,000 m2. The
other projects are in Dordrecht, Spijkenisse, Rotterdam, Zaanstad, Leeuwarden, Utrecht and Almere. Together, these projects account for approximately 130,000 m2 of new retail space. All are scheduled to be delivered between 2010 and 2011.

The company expects to start work on a number of other retail projects in the Netherlands in 2010.
