Multi Turkmall has said its new Forum Ankara Shopping and Lifestyle Centre will likely attract more than 10 million visitors a year. The centre opened its doors to the public on 18 October.
The shopping centre is the sixth Multi Turkmall scheme to open in Turkey in the last two years. Multi Turkmall is a subsidiary of Multi Corporation of the Netherlands. Multi Turkmall Mall Management is responsible for the management of the centre.
Forum Ankara offers 80,000 m2 of retail and leisure anchored by a Tesco Kipa hypermarket, Bauhaus DIY store, Media Markt electronics store and 145 other shops with a mix of national and international brands. Forum Ankara is developed on a 170,000-m2 site located in the Ovacik region of the Keçiören district of the Turkish capital.
Speaking at a special opening ceremony for the centre on 17 October, Multi Turkmall managing director Levent Eyuboglu said: 'Forum Ankara has Europe's largest Media Markt and Turkey's biggest Bauhaus. Additionally, the centre provides the biggest entertainment facility in Ankara on 12,000 m2. Through its scope, retail offer and entertainment facilities, Forum Ankara will become the new shopping destination and meeting point in Ankara.'
