Blackstone's European shopping centre arm, Multi, has opened Forum Lviv, its first shopping centre in Ukraine.

The three-storey shopping centre is locaten in the historic inner city of Lviv, near the Polish border.

Multi opens Forum Lviv together with two Ukrainian real estate partners, Galereja Centre and Bud House Group. The centre provides 69,000 m2 of retail space with restaurants, entertainment, a cinema and an underground car park with 600 spaces.

'We developed and realised this shopping centre under exceptionally difficult circumstances. We truly believe that it is one of our greatest achievements, and a milestone for Ukraine as a country,' said Jaap Blokhuis, CEO of Multi Corporation. 'It is the first project in Ukraine developed to high European standards and it is BREEAM certified. We have established a reputation for Forum Lviv as a must-join project among retailers and are proud to have a 95% occupancy at completion.'

Forum Lviv will host 35,000 m2 of national and international fashion brands, including Zara, Women’s secret, Springfield, Bershka, Mango, Massimo Dutti, and LaCoste, plus a food-court zone, the electronics supermarket Comfy, supermarket Silpo, Igroland children’s entertainment and a Planeta Kino cinema with Lviv’s first 4DX screen.

The Forum Lviv concept was created by TTDesign, Multi’s in-house design group. The local architect was the Lviv office of Tebodin Ukraine.
