Multi Development has announced the opening of Espacio Coruña in northwestern Spain. The scheme in A Coruña, the second largest city in Gallica, involved an investment of EUR 120 mln and took three years to develop.
Multi Development has announced the opening of Espacio Coruña in northwestern Spain. The scheme in A Coruña, the second largest city in Gallica, involved an investment of EUR 120 mln and took three years to develop.
Some 50,000 locals were at the opening day of the shopping centre which has a gross leasable area of 41,000 m2. Multi said Espacio Coruña promotes the economic development of the area and integrates local retailers with multinationals. The centre has created more than 700 jobs and provides free parking for over 2,000 vehicles. The centre has a rooftop park and children's playground.
Multi's T+T Design of Gouda in the Netherlands was responsible for the masterplan with architects, Chapman Taylor, Madrid, Spain.
Espacio Coruña was developed and built with financing by a syndicate of banks, consisting of Banco de Sabadell, Calyon sucursal en España, ING Real Estate Finance, Natixis sucursal en España, Caja de Ahorros de Galicia, and Banco Pastor.
