MPC Capital Netherlands has rebranded as Cairn Real Estate to reflect a new business focus on investment management for third parties.

A 'cairn' is a striking, man-made stone that marks important points on a route.

'The rebranding highlights our transformation from asset manager for funds, to an independent, strategic, full service multi-asset and investment manager,' said Pieter Akkerman, General Manager of Cairn Real Estate. 'Already in 2010 the retail business for private investors was terminated. Now we initiate, structure and manage investments in commercial real estate in the Benelux and Germany for a wide range of clients such as ABN Amro, institutional investors and (inter)national family offices.'

Cairn Real Estate manages a portfolio of 800,000 m2 that consists of office buildings, shopping centres and logistics/business real estate. Cairn Real Estate has 20 staff and is part of listed Group MPC Capital.
