German closed-end fund manager MPC Capital has placed two real estate funds, MPC Deutschland 9 and MPC Holland 72, which are invested respectively in the Philip Morris' German headquarters and in the European head office of Kyocera Mita in the Dutch city of Hoofddorp.

German closed-end fund manager MPC Capital has placed two real estate funds, MPC Deutschland 9 and MPC Holland 72, which are invested respectively in the Philip Morris' German headquarters and in the European head office of Kyocera Mita in the Dutch city of Hoofddorp.

As part of the operation, MPC Capital sold over EUR 28 mln worth of units in the two investment vehicles.

The Philip Morris HQ in Gräfelfing, near Munich was acquired in February from German developer and asset manager Investa Group. The building will house the new German headquarters of tobacco manufacturer Philip Morris on completion in November this year. The property has a preliminary 'Silver' energy-efficiency rating with DGNB and provides 13,700 m2 of office space. Construction of the five-storey property started in April 2010 with financial backing from Eurohypo.

The EMEA headquarters of printer manufacturer Kyocera Mita near the Schiphol airport was purchased in January and offers around 12,000 m2 of office space.

MPC Capital is a closed-end fund manager with roughly EUR 7.8 bn of assets under management across 324 investment products.
