Wargers joins two members on the supervisory board where the advisory role will see him leveraging his industry experience to support Mount Street in further developing its offering, with a focus on credit management and outsourcing for regulated financial institutions as well as for debt funds and asset managers, plus other related services across Europe.

With a career spanning over 25 years at the forefront of Germany’s financial services industry, Wargers offers insights to a broad range of products and processes. In his most recent full-time role, he was one of the founding board members and long-time CEO of Erste Abwicklungsanstalt (the ‘EAA’), established in 2009 to wind-up the portfolios of former WestLB and which, at its peak, had €150 bn in assets under management and products in more than 60 countries, including complex project finance, structured credit, securities and retail mortgage portfolios. He was acting as Chairman of EAA Portfolio Advisors until its acquisition by Mount Street in 2017.

Since 2020, he has served as a member of the supervisory board and chairman of the Risk Committee of Nord/LB, one of Germany’s largest commercial banks.
