'A leading edge environmental, economic and socio/cultural sustainability ethos will permeate all aspects of the development, from master-planning through to operation and long term management,' the country's ministry for economic development said in its description of the project. The development is set to provide a wide range of uses and community facilities, including workforce housing.
Montenegro's government has launched an international competition to design a master plan for the project. Pre-qualification submissions must be submitted by 20 June while a shortlist of ten will be selected by 30 June. The winner of the competition will be announced at end-September, shortly after a 12 September deadline for the presentation of final projects.
Colliers is the only leading international property consultant to have an office in Montenegro.
