Montenegrin company Briv Construction has allocated €41 mln for the reconstruction of the former Teuta Hotel, transforming it into the Mövenpick Teuta Kotor Bay.
Positioned on the coast of the UNESCO-protected Boka Kotor Bay, the five-star hotel resort in Risan, Montenegro, is scheduled to open in 2025.
It will be the only mixed-use resort in the interior of Boka and the first of its kind in the ancient city of Risan.
The Mövenpick resort will consist of 151 accommodation units, of which 66 will be offered on the real estate market and the remaining 85 will be standard rooms.
Amenities include the hotel's beach and indoor pool, as well as restaurants, a bar, a conference area, and a spa center.
Also planned is a marina for yachts up to 30 meters long and the creation of an eco-village and an organic farm for the owners and guests of the Mövenpick hotel and residences.
Opened in 1983, Hotel Teuta is an example of the famous Yugoslav brutalist architectural style.
