Andrew Goodbody has joined the Professional Services team at Montagu Evans, bringing over 20 years of banking and property lending experience.
Goodbody has joined Montagu Evans to start a debt advisory function and will be based in the City office. His role involves assisting the firm’s clients with their debt related issues and also working closely with the firm’s agency teams to assist clients in securing debt for new purchases and refinances. He is also involved in promoting the firm’s valuation expertise.
An ACIB qualified banker, Goodbody started his career with Barclays and then Hill Samuel Bank in the late 1980s. He specialised in commercial property finance in the early 1990s and since then has worked for a number of major international banks including Handelsbanken, Credit Lyonnais, British Arab Commercial Bank, Westdeutsche Immobilienbank & Erste Bank.
More recently, from 2007 until 2011, he was General Manager and Head of German mortgage bank DG Hyp’s London office, with a focus on new business/origination and developing the bank’s UK commercial real estate lending platform.
