Polish logistics park developer MLP Group is building its second logistics park in Lódz, Poland.
Once completed in mid-2024, MLP Business Park Lódz will offer 30,000 m2 of space for urban logistics and light manufacturing.
The facilities will include 26,000 m2 of warehouse units, starting at 1,600 m2, while 3,800 m2 will be dedicated to well-equipped office spaces and staff amenity areas.
Local construction company Biuro Inzynierskie has been tasked as general contractor and will gradually deliver three warehouses to occupants over Q2 and Q3 2024.
Agnieszka Gózdz, member of the Management Board, CDO, MLP Group, said: ‘MLP Business Park Lódz is our newest project in the City Logistics category. We are attuned to the strong demand for contemporary spaces, strategically located in urban areas to meet the needs of city logistics, e-commerce services, and light manufacturing. While we embark on this project on a speculative basis, we are confident of its rapid commercialisation.’
Jacek Rasz, Member of the Management Board, BIn – Biuro Inzynierskie, added: ‘The confidence placed in us by MLP Group to serve again as the general contractor is a testament to the successful collaborations we have had in the past. As a construction firm we are always happy to be part of projects to deliver logistics facilities meeting the highest environmental standards. The new development in Lódz is a significant undertaking, to be carried out in three phases.’
In line with MLP Group’s commitment to sustainability, the new logistics park will be built to BREEAM New Construction Excellent standards.
The park will feature a solar photovoltaic system, electric vehicle charging stations, green spaces, and a retention pond.
The logistics park is located 10 km from the center of Lódz, with easy access to public transportation and highways A1 and A2. The S14 expressway and the Lódz airport are both 15 km away.
In line with its build & hold strategy, MLP Group will retain ownership and manage the new logistics park.
