When completed, Edinburgh International Business Gateway will encompass 35,750 m2 of office space, 200 residential units and 525 hotel rooms, subject to planning permission being granted. The City of Edinburgh Council is due to decide on the application in the autumn.

A guide price for the site has not yet been disclosed.

Owner Murray Estates appointed JLL and Savills to sell the site, which is connected to the city by motorway, tram and the new Edinburgh Gateway railway station.

Cameron Stott, director at JLL in Edinburgh, said: ‘Given the paucity of high profile mixed use sites for development in Edinburgh, this is a fantastic opportunity to acquire a strategically positioned, high profile site adjacent to the burgeoning Edinburgh International Airport.’

Simon Parsons of Scottish Enterprise added: ‘The project forms part of an agreed long-term vision for West Edinburgh intended to make best economic use of its strategic location in attracting international investment and supporting continued growth and expansion at Edinburgh Airport.’
