Russia's Tashir Group will partner with Mirax to develop a $400 mln office and residential building next to Mirax Plaza on Moscow's Kutuzovsky Prospekt, Russian newspaper Kommersant. According to the paper, Tashir will receive 55% of the development in exchange for financing the project next to Moskva-City.

The project will include a 16-floor building with 130,000 m2 of space and an underground parking lot. The scheme will be built next to the company's Mirax Plaza development. An aid to Mirax' CEO Sergei Polonsky, Michael Dvorkovitch told Kommersant that negotiations between Mirax and Tashir Group are underway but the final contract has not been signed yet.

Mirax, through its ZAO International Center Development subsidiary, was appointed by the Kremlin's property unit to develop the project in 2006. The site is currently occupied by President Service, a federal state enterprise managed by the Kremlin's property arm.

Last week, Mirax announced it is to reduce Tower East of the Federation business center in Moscow from 94 to 64 floors. The original plan for the Federation Tower envisaged it becoming the tallest tower in Europe. The decision to reduce the number of floors was taken due to high interest rates for bank lending.
