Real estate services provider Bilfinger Real Estate has announced at MIPIM that it has been awarded management contracts for four shopping centres in the Netherlands by its existing customers Bouwinvest and CBRE Global Investors.

Real estate services provider Bilfinger Real Estate has announced at MIPIM that it has been awarded management contracts for four shopping centres in the Netherlands by its existing customers Bouwinvest and CBRE Global Investors.

The contracts relate to the Mercurius Center in Assen and the Waagstraat Center in Groningen, which are part of the real estate portfolio of CBRE Global Investors, as well as Amsterdam's Stadionplein and Mosveld shopping centres, which belong to the Bouwinvest Dutch Institutional Retail Fund.

The four retail properties have a combined total of 48,400 m2 of retail and 3,800 m2 of office space as well as 24 residential units. Bilfinger Real Estate will be responsible for centre and property management.

Huub Snelders, manager Retail Benelux at Bilfinger Real Estate, said: 'As a result of the new contracts, the portfolio of retail properties under management from Bouwinvest has expanded to 71,000 m2, while the CBRE Global Investors portfolio now measures 148,000 m2. Bilfinger Real Estate currently manages around 3 million m2 of commercial real estate space in the Benelux.
