Property adviser DTZ has released a new publication, Investor Guide to Europe 2014, on the first day of the MIPIM international real estate fair in Cannes, France.

The publication provides data on the investment market and information on the legal context and taxes for 26 countries across Europe.

The result of a partnership between DTZ and international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills, the guide is designed to help investors make informed decisions when entering new markets across Europe.

The guide includes:

- A short summary of the market for each country

- Key market indicators including invested stock, liquidity ratios, investment volumes, prime yields in the main office, retail and industrial markets, and investment activity by asset type and source of capital

- Legal and tax sections for each country covering property laws, key stages in the acquisition process, commercial leases and taxes.

Paul Boursican, head of international capital markets, EMEA at DTZ, said: 'DTZ has 225 capital markets professionals operating across 28 European countries presenting unparalleled market knowledge. As the recovery in Europe’s commercial real estate markets becomes more broad-based, we are seeing cross-border capital investment reach record levels. This guide will provide a timely resource for investors looking for an initial overview of the investment process across the different European jurisdictions.'

Copies of the guide will be available from the DTZ stand R33.17 at MIPIM, 11 -14 March 2014.
