BNP Paribas Real Estate unveiled details on Thursday for the development of the Indochine mixed-use project located in the 19th district of Paris, near the new T3 tramway station due for completion by 2012.

BNP Paribas Real Estate unveiled details on Thursday for the development of the Indochine mixed-use project located in the 19th district of Paris, near the new T3 tramway station due for completion by 2012.

Indochine will comprise the HQE and BBC-certified Visalto office building offering 23,000 m2 of space as well as a 147-room three-star hotel, a student residence with 130 rooms and some retail space. The project will also include a restaurant, a cafe, an auditorium, a fitness area and 220 parking spaces. Delivery is expected by the end of 2013.

Separately, BNP Paribas also announced the appointment of Jean-Michel Wilmotte as architect of the group's first UK property development at Kings Cross. The building will have an environmentally friendly design to BREEAM and HQE standards and will consist of 350,000 sq ft (40,000 m2) pf space. The scheme will be started after the 2012 Olympics and marks the launch of the leading real estate adviser's property development business line in the UK.
