Turkey's deputy prime minister and the minister for the environment and urban development will head up the Turkish delegation attending the Mipim in Cannes next week.

Turkey is the country of honour at the 2013 edition of the international real estate fair.

The country of honour programme includes a range of events and conferences to be held in both the Palais des Festivals and in the Turkish pavilion.

Organised by Reed Midem, a subsidiary of Reed Exhibitions, Mipim will be held in Cannes from 12 to 15 March 2013. It will be officially opened by the Turkish deputy prime minister Ali Babacan on Wednesday, 13 March at 10.30 am.

Babacan will also give his views on the economic outlook and investment opportunities in Turkey during a session to be held on 13 March at 2 pm.

Erdogan Bayraktar, the Turkish minister for the environment and urban development, will talk about urban renewal in Turkey and the growth outlook for real estate in the country on 14 March at 4 pm.

In all, 13 conferences are devoted to the Turkish market. Hundreds of Turkish real estate professionals will be attending MIPIM this year.
