German retail giant Metro has hired Cushman & Wakefield to sell a portfolio of land plots totalling 47 hectares in Poland. Financial details were not disclosed.

The plots are located in 28 towns and cities across the country. They include mainly undeveloped sites adjacent to areas occupied by Makro Cash & Carry stores and mostly possess valid local zoning plans. They can be used primarily for retail and service functions, and for logistics operations in some cases.

'Each potential investor will be treated on an individual basis,' said Marek Noetzel, partner in the retail department at C&W. 'The plots of land can be sold in package deals or as single investments, depending on the buyers’ needs. Land leases are also an option.'
