Polish developer Mermaid Properties has sold two office buildings in Warsaw to a Czech fund managed by Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) for an undisclosed amount.

The Jasna 26 office building was sold on behalf of a group of investors which included Spanish investor Aiga and Poland's Octava, as well as the FCM Salamanca Global Property Fund 1.

The Libra Business Centre was sold to Poland's WN PWN and Augusta.

'Both buildings offer high quality premises in central locations with well-known tenants. The acquisitions underline our strategy to invest in Class A assets in core locations in Central and Eastern Europe as part of the Group’s sustainable commitment to the region,' commented Martin Simhandl, CFO of Vienna Insurance Group.

Jasna 26 provides around 7,000 m2 of office and retail space and is mainly let to a major Polish law firm.

The Libra Business Centre was completed at the beginning of 2013 and currently provides 16,000 m2 of offices with tenants including Infovide-Matrix, Wydawnictwo Naukowe PWN and Canon Polska.
