Merkur Development Holding has appointed former Argoneo Real Estate's chief operating officer Marcus Hientzsch to its management board.
Hientzsch will be relieving some of the pressure on Harro Hellwege, until now the sole director at the German developer. They will deal with new projects and partnerships jointly.
Hientzsch has more than 25 years' experience in the real estate sector, in the areas of acquisition and valuation as well as asset management and development. At Argoneo Real Estate, he played a major role in building up and establishing the company as an independent subsidiary of Morgan Stanley in Germany.
Prior to that, he held the position of executive director at Morgan Stanley, responsible for the asset management of the MSREF Fund real estate portfolio in Germany, consisting of around 200 commercial properties, with a total value of some €7 bn.
