French retail REIT Mercialys has reported €684 mln of investment and disposal transactions in 2014.
Outlining its activities in 2014, Mercialys said it resumed its external growth through two major transactions: the acquisition of eight food stores for €278 mln in late December and four large food stores and various service and restaurant areas for €144 mln in the first half of the year.
All told, Mercialys invested €522 mln during 2014 in existing and on-going projects as well as the acquisitions.
During December the REIT also sold €81 mln of mature or non-strategic assets, lifting its disposal volume for the year to €262 mln as part of its strategy to become a market leader for large shopping centres and community shopping centres.
Mercialys owns €2.6 bn of retail property in France.
